Sturart, I am not really surprised about Host Gator, I have used them for three years and have good results. However, it is hard to navigate their site, support is fair but once you learn their ways, it isn'ttoo bad. My favorite host is Voda Host. It has all you can want and great support and easy navigation. I have had them about 4 years. I have 3 sites on Voda and 3 on Host Gator. Another host you might consider is 1 and 1 Internet. They are good and stable and have good support. Prices on all three are very reasonable and have all the extras you will need. Good luck in finding one. Check out Voda Host, it is always up to date and always increasiing their services. They are my #1

Hi Stuart, I am really sorry to hear about your treatment from Hostgator. I have been using them for about 6 months now and I have NEVER encountered that kind of behavior from their support staff.

Due to my lack of knowledge about servers and stuff I have been forced to seek the help of the live support several times and they have always been extremely helpful, kind and respectful while figuring out and fixing my mistakes.

This makes me wonder if their treatment of you is due in fact to where you live (not that it should matter at all), I live in the US. Or maybe it was just your luck to get that particular "rocket scientist".

Either way they were/are way out of line. Let us know if/when you find a good hosting company. Although I have not had any problems with Hostgator yet, you never know what the future may bring.
